Kansas High School Football Huddle
The Kansas high school football regular season begins this weekend, but according to The Kansas City Star, Tonganoxie will not have its head coach of the last 12-years on the sidelines when it takes on Bishop Ward on Friday.
The newspaper reports that Mark Elston resigned Wednesday, one day after he was suspended by the school district over an apparent verbal altercation with a player.
Defensive coordinator Matt Bond will reportedly take-over as interim head coach.
Last year Tonganoxie was 1-8.
